Crowns, bridges

We place crowns, bridges on appropriately treated teeth only. Therefore we replace old fillings and, if necessary, the tooth undergoes a root treatment. If one or more teeth are missing, we can prepare a fixed bridge by grinding off the neighbouring teeth.

This is an often-chosen crown type; it is primarily used for replacing missing teeth of the back region.

A metallic-ceramic crown can be prepared for individual teeth, or metallic-ceramic bridges can be prepared for multiple missing teeth. It can be an option for the frontal region as well, but zirconium crowns are more popular for these regions nowadays.

When should one choose the zirconium crown?

• when the old metallic-ceramic crown is replaced
• when there are root-treated, discoloured teeth
